War Raiders, Code of Conduct
WAR RAIDERS CODE OF CONDUCT

INTRODUCTION - Contrary toPopular Belief - Most people view EverQuest as a game.  It is a game in it's premise, but in actuality it is a private community, made up of people with a passion and desire to excel in an active online MPG.  ( Online Multi - Player Role Playing Game)  To this end, War Raiders as a RAIDING guild family, is dedicated to providing a happy and harmonious enviorment for all to play in, and achieve individual ,as well as group goals.

As the Guild Leader, I have selected officers based on dedication, game knowledge and personality. The same applies to all members who chose to make War Raiders their home on Everquest.

Following is a listing of our Code of Conduct. Much like our country's Constitution, it is subject to changes and amendments as we grow, so check for changes from time to time.

Darkfyyre
Guild Leader
War Raiders

TEAMWORK - This is the MOST important aspect of War Raiders. Work together, help one another achieve goals, as we all grow as a guild. Helping another player will ultimately help you, as that individuals skills in his/her class will benefit you one day on a Raid or Epic fight.

GUILD PRIDE - Never use ANON - ROLEPLAY
Only. Show pride in your guild and display your tag proudly. Officers have been charged to question anyone with ANON on, and unless you have a very good reason for this action, you will be warned. Should you refuse to comply, you will be respectfully asked to resign from the guild. We would love to have you stay, but you need to show pride in us as well.

LANGUAGE - We all have frustrating moments in the game. There will be times when it will be appropriate to express your frustrations, but we ask you respect yourself and your fellow guildies and use language you would use in front of your own family in RL. WE also enjoy open conversations in guild chat, but be aware that if it offends someone, please be respectful and change the topic. Name calling should be kept to freindly bantering and should never get out of hand or become a name bashing session. Should you have a problem with someone, TAKE IT TO TELLS. If you need mediation, ask an officer or guild leader. We are more then happy to help you.

ACTIONS - Always keep in mind your actions reflect on the guild. KSing, Ninja Looting, Training on purpose, will all be dealt with. Know this - The guild will back anyone who is accused from the guild. We ask for details and will ask for proof (logged conversations) if necessary. If it happens repeatedly, you may be put on recruit status again, or depending on documentation, removed all together. There are those out there that may report you for malicious purposes, and we are aware of it. Being a guildie of merit will go far with us here in War Raiders.

GUILD COLORS - We do not expect you to change to guild colors, but we respectfully ask if you could. We will provide the dye for you, as all we wish to do is promote guild pride.

RAIDS - These are not mandatory. However, to sucessfully raid the higher end mobs takes participation. If we do not have the numbers and classes needed for a raid, we have to find a new target, or cancel the raid all together.
Raids are MONDAY, WEDNESDAYS, and SATURDAYS, about 7:30pm EST. We ask you try and attend as often as you can. We appreciate that we all have other obligations in RL, and time on the game is limited. This will always be a factor, but let us know by email in game or a tell an officer or Guild Leader if you have a problem with participation.
If you are online when a raid is called, we ask that you please politely excuse yourself from whatever you are involved in, and join us.

You must always check the raid schedule on the website (www.warraiders.mythtec.net) prior to logging on, and be aware of what the target of the nightsraid is, and how your class is needed in the raid.  Should time be a factor, please send a tell to the guild leader, so it does not appear as if you are ignoring the call to arms. The Raid Leader will have this all listed on the raid schedule. It is your responsibility to get to the raid on time.  If you log on later then the start time, the guild will assist you when it can. Please don't expect the entire raid to come back and get you.

You must download maps, and have a sense of how to get to the raid.
RAID LOOT - We are presently on a merit system. This will be subject to change shortly, as we plan on exploring the pros and cons of different loot systems. For now, the Loot rules will be announced at the beginning of the raids. It will be one of the following types:
OPEN ROLL- This will be open to ALL at raid, including the recruits.

CLOSED ROLL- This will be done by officer merit, class leader merit vote,
or by Raid leader or Guild Leader reward to a specific person(s)

FFA- No roll. Just First Come First Serve.
GUILD BANK - Once you have passed recruit status, you are entitled to look in the guild bank. Try not to be <ehem> greedy. Take what you need. Should anyone ever be caught taking from the guild bank and selling any item on a trader, Will immediately be asked to leave the guild. The guild bank is there for all to share and utilize. The only persons who will sell out of the guild bank will be the guild leader, raid officer or appointed banking officer. Any proceeds from raid loot, or bank sales, will be banked for guild use. Should an guildie need plat (platium pieces - pp's) for an item, they can petition the guild leader and it will be voted on by officers.

BUFFS FOR SALE - This is an optional matter. We would like to have guildies buff each other for free. This is up to you. If you need to raise plat, we will understand. If you are in the zone and a fellow guildie requests a buff, it is totally up to you whether to charge or not. You are within your rights to charge. On the recieving end of the buffs from one guildie to another, do NOT request a fellow guildie come to a far away zone to buff you, or demand a rez from a cleric in the guild. This is a courtesy- NOT A RIGHT. Keep in mind that the person you are requesting services from may be involved in an experience group, or have their own time constraints and not have time to get to you. If a fellow guildie does charge for their services, please show them respect for their class level, time and willingness to assist.  Compensate them in some measure. Should you need a rez and there are no clerics on, you may ask the guild leader for plat for a rez if it is a death resulting from a raid.

HAVE FUN - This is a game. Always keep that in mind. When the power goes, all your armor, plat, and characters go away. This is not life or death. Keep this in mind and try to avoid conflicts, arguments, or bringing your RL (Real Life) bad day into the game or the guild. We all have them, and in respect to your fellow guildies, if you are having a bad day, then keep to yourself. We will understand your need for quiet time. On the other side of the coin, if you sense that someone in the guild is having a bad day, reach out to them in a friendly way and lend them your ear. Someday, they will do the same for you. Listening on the game is a simple task....make a chat window and let the person vent.
Having fun is the most important aspect of the GAME. Have fun! We will see you there!!!!!
